Leaf Compost and Tan Bark Available from the Township
|
 |
 |
|
Due to liability concerns the Township staff will no longer be permitted to load the leaf compost or tanbark for the resident. Both items are still available for self loading, free-of-charge, at the Yard Waste Facility at 750 S. Humer Street in West Enola. The Yard Waste Facility is open 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from April 5, 2009 to October 15, 2010.

Yard Waste Recycling

East Pennsboro Township will will do curbside collection of residential yard waste on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, from April through October.
Yard Waste is...... Material such as tree trimmings, shrubbery and any other organic landscape vegetation not listed in the exceptions below. How to Prepare Yard Waste 1. Place yard waste in biodegradable brown paper bags, cans (less than 60 lbs) .or bundle it with biodegradable twine in easy to handle bundles . o Bundles may be no longer than four feet in length. o Bundles may not weight more than 30 pounds each. o Branches may not exceed six inches in diameter.
Once prepared, yard waste Materials must be placed at the roadside collection no later than 6am on the scheduled collection day. Yard waste materials shall not be placed at roadside collection point prior to 7pm of the day preceding a scheduled collection. An unlimited number of bags or bundles may be placed at the the curb
Residents who wish to drop off larger amounts of yard waste can get a free permit from the Sewer and Sanitation Office in the Township Building Room 102. For additional questions, call 732-0711.

Christmas Tree Recycling

The East Pennsboro Township Public Works Department will be collecting trees to be recycled and used as mulch at our Township parks. Residents may place Christmas trees in an area where your trash/recyclables are collected. January 4th through January 22nd have been designated for tree pickup
Residents are reminded to remove decorations, plastic wrappings and any other trimmings from the tree. Residents can also drop off their trees at 750 S. Humer Street, Enola. The drop off site will be clearly marked and we ask your cooperation to only place the trees in the designated area.

Apply with cloth or mist/spray bottle; dry with clean cloth
