Cumberland County and East Pennsboro Township offer a wide array of opportunities to enjoy natural beauty.  The Conodoguinet Creek and Susquehanna River are great natural habitats for birds, plants and fish, and Blue Mountain (which you can see in the picture above) offers great hiking along the Appalachian Trail

Arboretum
Clean Up

The Township Environmental Advisory Council is holding a volunteer clean up day in the Arboretum.  We will remove select invasive plant species from the arboretum hoping to expand the number of beautiful native spring flowers.

We are looking for adult volunteers.  Please wear sturdy shoes, gloves and sunscreen!  For planning purposes, please call the Recreation Department at 909-5630 if you will be joining us.

Conodoguinet Creek Clean-Up

The Township’s Environmental Advisory Council will hold its annual clean-up of the Conodoguinet Creen from 9am to Noon on August 7th. Volunteers should wear study creen shoes , sunscreen, gloves, carry bug repellant.  We will meet at Ridley Park, 1625 Matthew Road.  Volunteers will remove debris from the creek bottom and bands.  Call the Recreation Department 909-5630 with any questions.
