Camps and Playgrounds
Summer PlaygroundsJoin the kids of your community for supervised games, special events, arts, crafts, and trips. Program opens in June 12 – July 28 and runs 6-weeks. We are closed the week of July 3 -7 week for the holiday. Camps are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to noon.
Programs are held at the following Parks:
- Adams-Ricci Park (Commonwealth Pavilion) for ages 6-9 yrs
- Adams-Ricci Park (Keystone Pavilion) for ages 10-12 yrs
- Midway Park for ages 6-12 yrs
- Ridley Park for ages 6-12 yrs
- Summerdale Centennial Park for ages 6-12 yrs
- West Fairview Annex Chestnut Street for ages 6/12 yrs
Playground leaders conduct a variety of recreational activities and special events in neighborhood playgrounds throughout the summer. A donation for the program is accepted, but not required to participate. Our calendar of activities is located on the right in the box title important links. It is distributed through the school district and will be available here at our website. Registration applications may only be obtained from the counselors the first day of attendance. No pre-registration is available, we like to be able to meet the children guardians and have open communication during the program.
Summer Day Camp
Our popular Summer Day Camp activities include weekly trips, arts & crafts, indoor and outdoor sports, games and themed events. Campers must be ages 6-12 years. 2017 Dates to be announced.Registration for camp will begin in the spring at the Recreation Department room #101.Or you may register online starting at 6 am. Log onto the online registration site between now and registration day to create an account for you and your family. You may register for Camp online or come to the Recreation Office in person. Half payment will be due at the time of online registration plus a fee. If you would like to make payments of the fee, you will have to register in person at the Recreation Office. No mailed forms will be accepted.
2017 Camp registration fees are to be determined. They will be per child and based on residency within the township.
